Flock Of Starlings --- Tick!
And so we returned to Cley Marshes on our last night in North Norfolk, with only one more tick to put in the book.
We had watched the Starlings build up on the telegraph wires the Sunday before.
As we sat in the hide as dusk gathered, a small flock of about 50 birds landed on one of the islands in the lagoon. They would occasionally take off and when they landed, the numbers had increased.
Within fifteen minutes we were looking at a flock a few hundred strong.]
Finally they took off and we were treated to a spectacular aerial display.
A lovely ending to a cracking holiday.
