Drive-by Basilica

Tilted not because I was trying to be artsy fartsy but because some yayhoo wouldn't let me merge into the right lane. Almost missed the shot.

The Basilica of St. Mary, home to a huge Catholic congregation and host to the annual rocking and rolling Basilica Block Party that raises money for the ongoing restoration of the church and to help poor families in the area. When the wind is right on a hot July night, I can hear wafts of the music and crowd cheers in my back yard.

I can certainly hear the lovely sound of those giant bells every Sunday morning.
