Life on the African Plains

Longershanks has had his first day at Climate Change Concern in Kampala and soon these guys will be flying off that way too to mix with the beasts of the African Plains.

No silly, not the cows, the yellow wagtails. Have a look in LARGE at the front cow's nose, there's one there, and just behind her there's one just taking off.

In the UK Yellow Wagtails are summer visitors to central and eastern England, eastern Wales and southern Scotland, breeding around pools and reservoirs and damp, grassy fields where horses and cattle disturb the insects they eat. In winter they are found near big mammal herds on African plains.
