NORMAL SERVICE HAS BEEN RESUMED.
This little fella was trying so hard to be cute this morning to distract me from wanting to kick his arse for his behaviour the night before (ring any bells, boys?). I'm sure if he could have brought me a cup of tea, he would have.
He came in with a little fieldmouse just as I was going to bed and as I tried to rescue it, it got away and ran into the study. I left the study and front door open for a few hours to let it get out and then closed the study door in case he was still in there and went to bed. Got up at 6am to open the doors again, to give him a chance of escape.
When I came home from work, Archie made a beeline for the study and within about 20 mins caught the little critter but I managed to get him away from him and gave him his freedom, although it might only be temporary. When Archie was 'boxing' him he stood up on his back legs like Stuart Little, never seen a mouse do that in real-life. Feel pretty good about having bought him a little extra time.
Miserable day today, weather-wise and first day back at work. Couldn;t be arsed to do anything this evening but watch the telly so lucky I managed to take this before I went to work.
