The Missed Buns

A while ago Granny took toddler to the local bakery for bread but it was closed. We tried again another day and it was still closed.

The other day I found out that it has closed for good as the owners were trying to sell it but could not find a buyer.

It is a real shame as it was a family business that had been running for a long, long time. They did not sell a lot but what they did was lovely.

The bread was super soft and the chelsea buns were great, but the best thing was that it was an proper old fashioned bakery and was just down the end of the road. Back when we had all that snow they still managed to open and so were very handy.

It is not until these things go that you miss them and wish that you had used them more.
