Our sixth formers had an Enterprise event today. The leader of the event told them about a South African called Alfred Baloyi who made makarapa for sports fans during the recent World Cup out of plastic hard hats. Apparently they sold like wildfire and he soon had to extend his production. The makarapa became ever more colourful and creative in design.

The challenge for our students was to work as a team to make a makarapa out of a few sheets of paper. They had a lot of fun doing it!
