Tea Party Comes to Washington

I have such conflicted feelings about the protest yesterday. I was embarrassed, for one thing, because I was guiding an international delegation around the country. My embarrassment prompted me to tell them that this was NOT how everybody felt, that I personally do NOT feel this way, etc. But I also feel like I have to respect the tea party's right to protest. They have that right! And yet, if they don't respect MY rights, why should I respect theirs? Ugh, it's all twisty. I love living in a city where people come to change the world, but I wish I could feel good about the people I disagree with.
