peeking out the window. was at gyeongbokgung today, which is one of the 5 grand palaces of seoul. got lots of interesting shots, but liked this one the best. there is so much expression in this man's eyes. because we can only see his face, so much is left to the imagination. if we could see what he was wearing, no doubt that would sway us in our reflexive pigeonholing of unfamiliar people that is perhaps a part of human nature. what judgments would we form in our minds if we could see that he was wearing a clean, pressed suit? polo shirt and jeans? shorts and a t-shirt? as it is, we're left with a blank canvas.
