String Camp 2010

My fourth and last string camp. It was a great experience and one that I really did not expect. I loved it so much. Not just the music, rehearsals, but the people too. I never knew I'd miss it but I actually do.

I feel like the thing that us seniors realized through helping out together for the younger grades was that we're actually SENIORS now. Now that our time together is coming to an end, we're trying to make the best of it.

We got to leave school early on Friday and hang out together all day and also prepare for the other grades to arrive after school. There were challenge courses, story time, and painting involved. After the rehearsals, there was a bonfire and hot dogs just like every other year.

This is taken in Allen Lodge, which is where our symphony rehearsals took place. It's a beautiful, rustic building with wonderful acoustics. The only bad thing about it was that it was freezing cold in there, even colder than it was outside, which was cold enough in the first place.
