Blipchurch of the week: Nousiainen
The roof of a medieval church dedicated to St.Henry of Finland & Holy Mother Mary.
This church made of stone was built around 1420, but there's been a timber church at the same place already in the beginning of the 13th century. Actually there's been several timber churches for they've burnt down and been rebuilt again.
The relics of missionary bishop (Englishman) Henry were transfered from the Nousiainen Church to the Turku Cathedral in 1290's.
