Chevrolet El Camino

C. and I tried to go to the RHS Wisley flower show this afternoon, but we found all the roads closed off (it was full we found out from the radio, later). So we ended up going to an Antiques & Collector's fair (as you do) in deepest Surrey, instead.

And that's where we found this magnificent contraption, taking up most of one side of the car park. I'm not greatly into cars, but this one seemed to trigger so many lovely associations - Saturday morning cinema, the Rockford Files, Johnny Cash - that I wanted to hug it.
