Old Barn
Good Bye...Old Barn,
We will be missing you.
Your old and time-worn structure,
Has passed from out of view.
No longer...do we see you there,
With storage, space, and stall.
Where you have stood for many years,
So masterful and tall.
Your lines of architecture,
Has been credited to be.
A shrine for circling pigeons,
In this community.
You've stood in pride and splendor,
With wisdom on your face.
As eyes of adoration,
Have wrapped you in full grace.
You've heard the whinny,
Of a horse...the feed of grain.
As within your spidered-walls,
The buried past has lain.
You are a senior-citizen,
Grown old by days.
And the coming generation,
Will never know...your ways.
We bear thee to a pedestal,
On a band-wagon that is slow.
All Hail...our hearts have ever loved thee,
And memories with thee go.
