La Reserva nature reserve
After quite an eventful week the girls and I thought we'd take a trip to La Reserva, Mallorca's beautiful nature reserve as a pre birthday treat for Ava who turns 4 on Monday! The temperatures are not quite so gruelling now so just perfect for walking under the shade of the forest. They walked, and walked and walked and did not complain once...which was a big surprise especially for the birthday girl who is prone to the odd sit down in protest when made to walk further than the end of the street. What a stunning place it is and so under advertised, which is a blessing really as it remains a real hidden gem on the island. They fed donkeys, goats, deer and Shetland Ponies (of all animals to find in a Spanish nature reserve!), swam in a rather cool dipping pool and generally had a ball! As soon as their little heads hit the pillow tonight there was silence!! I'm feeling rather bushed myself.
Sollergirl has made fab progress this week as you will have seen from her blips and has managed to get to our local coffee shop for her daily dose of caffeine...think she was having withdrawal symptoms!! She thinks I'm joking when I say I've booked her on a mountain climb soon!
