Sunflower morning

This morning was Master Pink's first "sunflower morning". It's an event that the PTA run each year as a competition for the smallest/biggest/tallest sunflowers. It's been running since back in the day, when I went to the same school! But it's good fun and lots of healthy competition.

We entered two categories of sunflowers; the most heads on one stem, and the smallest sunflower. We won neither. However, Master Pink came first in the flower arranging competition for the Reception year, and third in the cake decorating (also reception year). He is very proud of his certificate, and rather chuffed that he got a prize too.

The little Bear photographed is Ben Bear. he is the Reception class's bear, and he has come to stay with us for the weekend. I thought perhaps he'd like to star in a Blip, so here he is, Blippers meet Ben Bear!
