Just us and the goats

Bright and breezy, so we took a walk along the old green road that leads to the next village. This was once the original road but is now a wild, boggy and totally gorgeous track. Heather and gorse is in full bloom and a few blackberries remain for sustenance. We did see the goats - a herd of big, shaggy wild ones - but they were sadly too far away for a good blip.
Home and an attempt at making cranberry and apple jelly. Our crop of cranberries amounted to a pound and a half and mixed with some spotty apples should do well. Jelly making is quite messy and complicated and I'm at the stage of dripping it through a muslin bag - getting it all in was quite interesting! The next bit involves a lot of boiling - ho hum.
