We Love Our Dentist

After getting the kids all off to school, Jack had his dental check up with "Dr. Ken" (Dr. Natsuhara). He did quite well in staying still for his x-rays and getting his teeth cleaned. I had forgotten his sunglasses to block out the bright work light in his eyes, but he was content using mine. Dr. Ken said his teeth look really good--he's on his way to earning the "big prize" when he's 13 if he doesn't have cavities by then. We love our dentist. This blip is of Jack and Dr. Ken after Jack's checkup. I've been seeing Dr. Ken for nearly 23 years now and Doug started going to him about 10 years ago. The kids have all seen him since they each turned 3. He is very gentle and friendly. We all enjoy (well, if it's possible to enjoy visits to the dentist) our twice yearly visits to his office.

After returning from the dentist, I took a long run. I increased my mileage to 9.8 miles. I was feeling it just after, so I think I increased my mileage a bit too fast. I think I will stick with the 9.8 route for another week or two before I add any more on. I need to hit 13 miles by Nov. 13.

Had a nice family dinner of quesadillas and zippy beans and rice. Everyone was home for dinner tonight! :)
