Three months!!

It is almost 3 months since my 70/300 lens started it's 'sick leave'!! It's been in Nikon Hospital for almost two months now!

They phoned me today to explain that they replaced the 'Vibration Reduction Unit' which helped a bit, but they are still not satisfied that it works correctly and they don't seem to be able to identify the problem immediately! They aparently requested Nikon technicians worldwide to assist in identifying the problem, since they have not encountered this specific problem before! Eisch!!! I am really starting to get a bit upset about it! :-(
