Who am I to disagree?

Autumn

Went for a blip walk today - The wheat field where I found the Meadow Brown had been harvested and the straw baled up and was now ploughed over. The thistles where I'd found the Common Blue and the Autumn House Fly had all gone to seed and there were no insects or butterflies in sight. The Bullocks had moved on to a different field and the footpaths were just a wee bit muddy. I think the season's changing.

I remember collecting horse chestnuts from Hopetoun Crescent Gardens and playing "conkers" at Broughton Primary - that season passed a while ago!
