Continued...He knew, She knew...

Who knew she would be there on that bus stop in the Valley? He did, of course. He found out the she was playing him. But what he didn't know is why? He text her from a restricted number so he could follow her back to her headquarters, but what he didn't realize is that she was stealth. She faded into the night, he lost her.
The next day he grabbed his cell and called her, "Where were you last night? I came for the tickets, to the bus stop on Campo, did you stand me up? Do you still have the tickets for sale"? She was coy, mostly calm, on the outside anyways, "Yes, I am sorry, something came up, do you want the tickets"? She avoided the main question. She had a good solid night to think on who may have made the call to 'abort' the mission. She figured it had to be him, but wasn't sure. He was trying to take the upper hand. She knew that she had to move quickly, or she would lose her nerve. "I will be downtown today, can you meet me" her voice stayed maintained, though her heart raced at the thought, she would finally share her heart. "You aren't gonna stand me up today"? he laughed out loud. She smiled, "Not today" she whispered. Meet me in the Gaslamp, near Lou & Mickey's, say 3:00"? He said, "make it 3:30, the Mustang is in the shop getting headers, I have to drop it off, 3:30 works better". "It's a date, I mean deal", did she really just say that? He chuckled, "Date, huh? I will be there, will you?" "Yes, I will be there, waiting inside", with bells on, she thought. "See you then".
