Surfbirds
A very foggy beautiful morning. Went out rowing with the camera and captured my whole heron from the water in the same spot as yesterday, but further away on a very small islet there was a flock of dozens of birds unfamiliar to me, almost blending in with the rocky seaweedy shore, so they were awarded the blip of the day. Decided they were surfbirds - feeding on mussels, limpets, snails, barnacles or other invertebrates, they are found on rocky shores along the whole Pacific coast. Somehow I have missed these until now, so I'm happy to have spotted them!
