The road to backing

This is Jensen, he has been in a few blips before ... he's only 3 and hasn't been backed yet ... Johanna has been training him up and is now starting to get him used to the weight of a rider by leaning on his back while he munches at a hay net. He won't actually be ridden until next year when he is 4 (and then officially a stallion) ... there's no need to rush ... building up a good bond between horse and rider and letting him mature gradually should pay dividends in the long run.
