Chess

Son One is all excited because he's joining chess club this term. Took this tonight not just to commemorate his new hobby, but as a record of where the pieces are! - bedtime came before the end of this crunch match between he and Daddy, and there's no way that the pieces will be in the same place by tomorrow night with little fingers around...


On the way home from school I asked him what the best thing that happened today was. He went into great detail about the Gibbs Aquada that he'd been reading about. At teatime, completely out of nowhere, he said "I'm on the school council!". Elections were held today, and he was the boy with most votes in his class. Apparently politics is not as exciting as an amphibious sports car ;-)
