Almost cut my hair today

I always wondered what that line meant from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Now I know. The hair trimmer gave out today just before my wife was going to do the deed. I spent about an hour trying to repair it, but it was too far gone. So, while my wife was out getting a new one, I tore it apart. That reminded me of another line (well, two), this time from a movie:

"We have such sights to show you" and "We'll tear your soul apart!"

This is the coil from the vibratory thingy that jiggles the blades to cut the hair that ate the cat to catch the spider to catch the fly...oh my...

Maybe my hair is too long after all.
