Remembering Friends

I have changed my Blip entry plan for today.

At lunchtime, we heard the news that a friend of ours, in her mid forties, has passed away. She was brave and positive throughout her illness. My heart goes out to her husband at this painful time of parting.

As I arrived home this evening, my attention was drawn to this special bush in the garden, which was planted on 1 September 1996, the day our dear friend PB passed away. When we moved to our current home, we brought our memories with us. It flowers profusely at this time of year.

I felt the buds looked like tears, but then the flowers burst open, with hope of new life. That is what A is experiencing now, and she is free of her pain.
