It's just......

...an illusion.

Tonight I shall be mostly watching Renoir's classic La Grande Illusion. The subplot is based on Norman Angell's book, The Great Illusion, which dealt with the futility of class, division and war. Interestingly it was declared Kinematographische Feindliche Nr. Eine (Cinematographic Enemy Number One) by the Nazis and copies were destroyed on sight. This is a must watch for anyone who enjoys cinema.

Elsewhere, I notice that the University of Baltimore is offering a course in Zombie Studies...who would have thunk it?
