CCTV Tower

More backblipping, but this time with a very recent project. This is a polaroid I took while I was in Beijing this summer. It's the CCTV tower around the corner from where my folks live*. The other day I did an emulsion lift in some hot water and then stuck the more-durable-than-you-would-think emulsion back onto some watercolor paper. I like the texture which helps with some prints like this one. As soon as I get some larger paper I'll lift a few shots and do a landscape or collage or something. Also, I'm super excited about another transfer technique my friend Corey just learned. It sounds incredible and I'll keep you guys updated on my success or failure.

*Things are still pretty uncertain for the moment, but it seems like my folks will be leaving Beijing, maybe even by the end of October. I'll just leave it at that for now until some questions get answered. I had planned to go to Beijing this Christmas, but obviously that's out. I was gonna go visit some friends on the mainland during my October holidays, but now I'm considering an impromptu trip back home since it could be my last. It's a tough decision. What do you think?
