Nostalgia

I learnt this little song in Frisian when I was about five years old. It is also one of the few things I remember in the Frisian language. We always spoke Dutch at home and at school (except for the one or two hours a week that we had Frisian class), so I never used the language that much. I can understand it well, but to say something myself... :)

Translation:
"Little fish in the water
why don't you have a house
birds make nice nests
in the whole crawls a mouse
but the fish have nothing
they always swim in the canal"

The fish on the picture is one of our small South American cichlids (Herichthys carpintis "Escondido").
