St Andrew Square

With his Lordship being persuaded, with very little reluctance on his part, to take to the hills for peace for his pleasure, I was free to do a bit of personal retail therapy in town and ......... buy some bags for the vacuum cleaner.

It made a change to carry home bags which didn't contain items for the move.
Now of course, with no extra available storage space, an equal amount of previous retail therapy items will have to go. Such is the new regime.

His Lordship appeared earlier than I had hoped, anticipated but has left again to get himself one pair of glasses that he can see through.

Despite my advising him to get bifocal glasses three months ago, he went for a pair for reading and a pair through which he could see pretty girls at a distance.

Now of course, he can't cope with having to switch between the glasses quickly enough, should a comely young miss pass as he's reading the paper on the patio.
And so he's decided bifocals are the answer. It took time but he's seen reason in the end. I hope we can all relax now.

Today's blip is of St Andrew Square with its newish make over.
It is a welcome green feature at the east end of George Street and makes for a short cut between the Bus Station, Harvey Nicks ( no,my retail therapy was not in there),
John Lewis and George Street.
