Tropical storm

Tropical storm Hermine hit us today. I wasn't expecting it and it arrived pretty suddenly. We've had torrential rain, thunder and lightening and strong winds all day. We've also been on tornado watch, which is both exciting and scary! The worst seems to be over now although it's still forecast to rain overnight. And of course it's still hot and humid....

Because of the weather I haven't taken many pics today. This one is of Jamie, reluctantly doing his homework this evening. Both the boys hate homework and I can't say I blame them. Seven and a half hours at school and then an hour of homework every night....that's a lot for an 8 year old !
