Jo-Jo recovers from her operation

I took our new kitten to the vet this morning to be neutered.

This evening,she has spent in the safe surroundings of the carrying case, refusing to come out and staring into space with her large opiate-induced dilated pupils.

Just as I type this, she emerged and took lapped up the small bowl of milk I'd left within easy reach and returned back into her cosy 'cave'.

Julia (vet) says we have to keep her indoors for 48 hours. No mean feat I imagine given her penchance for exploring her new home and surroundings. She is an adorable feisty wee thing!

So far we have found 4 dead mice in the yard.

Poured of rain all day here today.
