I've taken a day off today following a family funeral yesterday. What better balm for the soul than a day out in a grey, suburban town, with my beloved son. We're off to catch a movie and he suggested I capture this photo of him. He'll be off to school soon so it's heavy on my mind that these impromptu days out will not be so easily arranged in future.
