Star of the Week
This blip photo is of Landon's 'Star of the Week' that is displayed in the bulletin board of his classroom. A different child gets chosen each week and this week is Landon's turn!
=======================
Today goes down in my record books as 'I'd rather not have a repeat of today'.
*Got home from working in Landon's class to find the puppy had pooped in his crate for the first time----poo was EVERYWHERE. All over his blankets and toys, all over his e-collar, all over the crate walls and door and splattered through the crevices onto my entertainment center. What to do first was the question. Got it taken care of in the small gap I had before getting Landon for early pick-up (1 1/2 hr gap to be exact). I ended up showering with the puppy after cleaning inside and dismantling the crate to clean in the backyard . Toys washed, blankets washed, e-collar scrubbed, floor scrubbed, bathroom scrubbed, puppy scrubbed and blow dried. Broke the rule of not getting the puppy wet after surgery, because what other choice did I have! Might get a slap on the wrist from the vet.
*Was late getting Landon.
*Bleached my favorite shirt while cleaning.
*Picked all the kids up and tackled a difficult homework night and ran to soccer.
*On the way home from soccer Landon puked in the van. Yes, Gary was still gone at a meeting directly after a long work day and he's the one who best deals with puke. I open the van windows on the drive home trying not to puke myself. Scrubbed his car seat the best I could being thankful he made it mostly into a bag. Mostly was the key word.
*So glad the day was over.....ready for a MUCH better day tomorrow.
*The good news of the day is that Landon ate 2 plates of spaghetti after puking and was perfectly fine. I think rolling down the hill over and over again with a little girl at soccer practice sparked the puking episode. So yes, there was a blessing, it wasn't the stomach flu!
*The other good news of the day is that I had a very clean puppy (and bedroom, and bathroom and shower).
