Back to School Brunch

Today we enjoyed our third annual "back to school brunch" with friends C & M (and their mom Jennifer). After gorging ourselves on blueberry pancakes, veggie sausage, hash browns, and cantaloupe, and toasting the first day of 2nd grade for A & C, and the beginning of preK for E & M, the kids spent a long, leisurely afternoon playing while the grown-ups visited. Since we held it on Labor Day this year, the dads even got to participate a bit later in the afternoon. Here's to a great start to a new school year, and to inventing reasons to get together with dear friends!
