CU Boulder

The last couple of days I've been at a seminar celebrating the scientific contributions of Norm Pace (its also his 65th birthday). It is a great eye opener to see stuff in another field, rather than only ever go to seminars where you know what people are talking about. It's been a good event with a nice friendly atmosphere and everyone who spoke has worked in Norm's lab at some point.

We passed this memorial today on campus, the flags are to commemorate military dead in Iraq. Each flag is supposed to represent 5 people. I couldn't get all the flags in the shot.
