At last

The two words in the title of this song mean everything to me today because, at last, someone believes my daughter when she says that she has been in pain now for the past 12 months, has been in hospital 4 times, has even collapsed at the Doctor's Surgery on one occasion, and nobody has believed her.............until today.
A Nurse at the GP's Practice has finally said, " Enough's enough". She asked T to go there at 8.30 this morning for many tests and investigations, which haven't been done to date. She then sent her to the local hospital for blood tests, rang someone at another hospital who said that she must get further blood tests and now we feel as if someone is listening.
One of the Doctors at our practice has lied to my daughter, saying that there is no such test ( the one she had this afternoon!). He also said that the hospital were lying when she went in last time, told her to stop taking antibiotics which were prescribed by the hospital as " they're not doing you any good!!"and was generally very rude to her.
Whatever the results of all these investigations, today has been a good day because we should know by next week the cause of all the pain. This could have been done months ago, but the Doctors could not have cared less.

Nurse L. - you are an angel. Pity you couldn't be in practice on your own. Thank you very much indeed for your concern.

(Sorry to rant on but I'm furious with the NHS!)
