Millennium Boy
~~Backblip~~
Today was a kinda boring day at work, but got through it!
Came back, had an awesome dinner - Steak & Boursin parcels rocked. While it was cooking we threw the left-over pastry around the kitchen at each other. This was fun, if rather juvenile :p
I also had a read of a photography magazine I bought a while back. Got me thinking of where I could try some fashion-type portraiture with my ever-willing model. I had the idea of finding a nice textured wall, and using the car headlights to illuminate it. Didn't really work as I intended - maybe needed the car to be closer to the wall (there was a road we couldn't park across) or maybe just not as good an idea as I thought.
On the search for other locations, had more or less given up by about 23:40 and were heading back home when I spotted a well-lit section of wall @ the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay, and here is Mathew posing there :-D It was a close call between this one and this but I think either the focus was off or I jogged the camera in the other one, so this one wins. I think I'd still prefer it anyway.
I'm not sure I got the fashion style quite right, but my idea of the textured back-ground seems to have worked - this also worked well in my Colin blip, so I'm thinking I may do more experimenting with portraiture in 'real' locations using the light that's available.
Anyone up for a series of Urban Portraits?
