EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE

I guess by now Blippers will be well aware of the devastation caused by the earthquake here in Christchurch.
We have had some major structural damage to our house and have been without power ,water and communications so no blips since Friday but will attempt to back blip some of our damage over the next day or two.
We have been staying with our son just 2 km away. He has had no damage to his property at all and lost one wine glass. We are so thankful as his partner gave birth to a little baby boy on Friday evening.
Today the clean up has started for us with the removal of a chimney from the roof space of the house. Fortnunately this one fell over our laundry If it had fallen the other way, it would have fallen on our bed.
We are so thankful there has been no loss of live and the support we have all had from friends ,family and the local community has been fantastic.
We are not sure what will be the outcome for us. We now have to wait to be assessed
Our house has now been made safe enough for us to continue living in it for the time being.
