Downstream

Sunday's pace should be at least a little more sedate than the rest of the week. After a lie-in and tea black coffee ('we need some milk') a trip to the recycling centre preceded shopping followed by a stroll along the river.

Just out of shot to the right, was the venue for Manningtree's beach bash yesterday. But today, there were no banging of drums, no busy beach bashing and no trace of sculptures in sand.

The only sound to punctuate the scene was that of a train passing by and the occasional laughter of a happy daughter or two.

The rest of the day, we went with the flow.
