Getting the hang of it.

Meringue.

We put the new machine to good use this morning. First a wholemeal bread dough was made. Whilst that was proving we made a rich shortcrust pastry in it. We decided to make lemon meringue pie, we both love it but we've never made it before, mainly because whisking the egg whites by hand is such a labourious task.

The machine certainly made light work of the meringue making and it was nice to be able to use our own hens eggs of course....anyway it should be cool enough to eat now so I'm off to try some :-)
