sandend

I was hoping for a lovely sunny day today because we had planned to go to the beach. B is away being a rock star in the studio, so it was just me and the girls and the weather wasn't great so naturally, we decided to go to the beach anyway...

sandend is one of our favourite places in the world - the kids have spent many, many days on the beach there boogie-boarding, finding crabs and starfish, collecting shells, building dams, playing and looking for sea-glass as well as fishing in the wee harbour. the best thing about sandend is that there's nothing there except a beach, harbour, some houses and a campsite...and when we arrived the weather was great!

so, me and Lisa had a lovely time eating chocolate brownies and drinking tea in ella while the five kids had a lovely time getting soaked, complaining about getting soaked, eating food and complaining about the food I'd brought...they're so delightful.

daisy said it was the best day of her life - so here she is on her favourite day...walking along to the harbour in her top and pants, just like you're meant to when you're 7.
