Pat and Bob's Golden wedding

Today I was at Pat and Bob's golden wedding party (where I ended up taking the "unofficial" photos), and then at Marie's 60th birthday party. Both lovely events. What a happy day.

After yesterday's blip of Mum's birthday cake, there was no choice except to blip the golden wedding cake. (Talk about sublime to ridiculous in reverse!!)

The Golden wedding party was in a function suite at Hexham Racecourse. The views were wonderful and the light streamed in on three sides of the room through enormous windows. It was a big challenge to take photos of the people because of all this excess light behind most of them, so I had to work hard with fill in flash.

The cake tasted divine by the way.
