Buenas noches vecinos!

'Buenas noches vecinos!' this Spanish gentleman cried out as he stepped out the door onto the street terrace and there were then lots of 'buenas noche-ing' back. Bb and I had been sitting having a merienda and had just commented that there was a lot of movement from the vecinos in this particular block. It's one of the things I like about our life here, that there is still a real feeling of living in a neighbourhood and people still buy at their local shops, food market and eat at local restaurants. This place is about 7 mins walk away and so just outside of what we consider our own barrio!
PS the temperature was up again today to around 35 degrees. I'm going to feel the difference in Belfast tomorrow!
