Gentle Stroll

I know that a lot of New Zealanders use this site so this morning our thoughts are with them in the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquake. Thankfully there were no fatalities though 2 people are seriously injured.

As I was feeling a little under the weather this morning with a cold and a sore throat I thought that a gentle stroll and walk in the fresh air would do me good.

I went to the village of Hawarden and took a walk through Hawarden Estate where Gladstone lived.

This shot was taken looking back through the village gate towards The Glynne Arms. The Glynne family bought the Lordship of Hawarden in 1653 but they did not move to Hawarden from Bicester until 1723.
