WATERLOO SUNRISE

Location: Waterloo Bridge, London

As you guys know, my journal is more or less an homage to London, my home town. This view, from Waterloo Bridge, is one of my absolute favourites. I've not been able to blip it before now because there were roadworks and bridge repairs, and the view was obscured.

You can see St Paul's Cathedral and also the distinctive "Gherkin".

It's my intention now to blip this view at different times of the day, and to try to capture the beautiful lights in a night time shot (this challenge almost makes me look forward to the soon-to-be short winter days - almost...)

I took this blip on the way to work this morning - hence my re-working of The Kinks' classic song title for the title of the blip.
