Agapanthus

I adore these flowers and feel like I've been waiting all summer for them to bloom. Unfortunately there are not that many this year - only two out of 5 pots - but this is perhaps the most magnificent with large, dark blue flowers.

I had taken some pictures this morning of our 'Portacabin' city at school which has been erected as temporary accommodation to replace rooms in two flooded corridors. The morning was initially grey and so are they - so it looked very bleak.
It was so lovely when I left this afternoon I felt I should turn to the garden while the summer lingers.

This wasn't my favourite agapanthus picture but I couldn't resist using it as the hover fly is almost in focus!
