Snow!

We had snow this afternoon. For a couple of hours there were lovely big flakes drifting down. However, the air temperature only went down to 0.5ºC. The snow will soon be gone.

Everything was so pretty for a while. I took a lot of photos, but even though this one is not sharp (it was taken through a misty window) I have to blip it. I'd put a piece of apple out and the waxeyes were not to be put off by a bit of snow. They looked so funny with snow on their backs as they picked at the apple.

In this shot the female on the right has just shaken the snow off and some of it is still on her tail. The male, with his head down into the apple, is not bothered by the snow on him. The big splodges are falling snowflakes.
