Giant Fern

This is a new bud sprawling from a giant fern spreading against the veranda ceiling. I wanted to chop the whole plant, however, I was told by the gardener in the complex that this particular one costs a fortune. Apparently, it is 10 years old and was lovingly attended to by the previous owners of the house.

Hhhmmmmm... I wonder if there's a treasure buried beneath. I shall find out! :)
