2nd Largest Freshwater Lake Wholly Within The USA

Pub Quiz last night and if you remember last week we got fourteen questions wrong and finished third two behind the winners, this week we got eleven wrong and won by a clear six points! - go figure.

Also on the subject of last week, apologies to Clare's sister - it's Zannie not Sally, so that's hearing aids on the Christmas list for me and Mrs L.

Here's the offending eleven questions, see whether you could have improved our score:

1. Which island republic housed the first Jewish ghetto in the 16th century?
2. In which state is Lake Okeechobee, the second-largest freshwater lake wholly within the USA?
3. Which US president was born Leslie Lynch King (Jr), taking his more familiar name when his mother remarried?
4. Which park is home to Yogi Bear?
5. Who had a 2000 hit entitled Shackles (Praise You)?
6. Membership of the Order of the Garter is restricted to the sovereign, Prince of Wales and a maximum of how many other members?
7. Starring Uma Thurman, complete this 1993 film title: "Mad Dog and..."
8. Complete this Yazz song title: "Stand Up For Your..."
9. What is the literal translation of the French menu item "pâté de foie gras"?
10. Having first appeared in the Daily Express, which anniversary does Rupert Bear celebrate in 2010?
11. Which S Express singer had a hit entitled It Feels So Good?

I've posted the answers in the comments.

Now here's a bonus question - What does the photographed lake at King's Meads have in common with Lake Okeechobee? Answer - neither of them are the second-largest freshwater lake wholly within the USA. Lake Okeechobee fails on that count behind Lake Michigan and Iliamna Lake (Alaska) no matter what measure of "largest" is used. I'm sure Andrew may argue, but I'm not brave enough to argue with Mrs L.

And now the plug for Andrew (who's good enough to email me the above so's I don't have to type them out:

The quiz is well & enjoyably run by Andrew and as his website says "If you're in London, Essex, Herts, Beds or Bucks - Want to hold a quiz event but can't find a quiz master? - Want a fun evening?" Then give him a call.
