Japanese Knotweed
Interesting day...
My plans for the day were somewhat thrown into confusion when I identified a large growth of Japanese Knotweed in the garden and have spent a few hours reading horror stories of JK infestations taking over the countryside. According to the Environment Agency it "is the most invasive species of plant in Britain" and it's in my garden!!
A few phone calls later and I am not sure what is worse - the Knotweed or the size of some of the quotes that I have received to get it removed!!
That said, it is a wonderful looking plant which acts as a magnet for a wide selection of insects, (although they need to enjoy it while they can, as the "eradication experts" are here tomorrow...!!)
