Take off

The last few days I have been going into work in dim conditions and coming home in the dark. This morning I was a wee bit later and the sun was coming up and glowing at Aberlady Nature Reserve. I decided work could wait and I went for walk with my camera. I got a few nice shots of the sunrise and the wildlife but this shot caught me off guard. The heron had been perched for ages, not moving and then suddenly it took off just as I was about to press the trigger. Sheer luck!
